Discover Omo was founded by Biniam Melese, a local resident with a passion for Omo Valley. Biniam was born and raised in the Lower Omo Valley town of Jinka. As a young boy, Biniam loved to show visitors around. Through these experiences, he gained valuable insight into the unique tribal communities surrounding his birthplace. With a lot of effort, he co-founded a local guide association in Jinka, and over time, began to dream about opening an authentic cultural tour company in order to help promote and preserve the culture of his region. This dream eventually gave rise to Discover Omo!
