Tour 16: 15 day Deluxe Western Omo Tour:
Visit the Murle (hiking and overnight camping required if you choose to visit the Murle, and during dry conditions only), Me’en/Menit/Mekan (Tishena), Dizi, Kwegu/Koyugu/Nyidi/Yidi (during dry conditions only) and Suri (Chai/T’id, Tirma/Timaga and Baale/Kachipo (the Baale/Kachipo will be visited during dry conditions only)) tribes and visit the local markets as schedule and security allows.
Itineraries are flexible and subject to change, but the standard schedule is as follows:
Day 1: Leave Addis Ababa in the morning, overnight in Jimma
Day 2: Leave Jimma in the morning, overnight in Mizan Teferi
Day 3: Hike toward the Murle tribe (hiking and overnight camping required if you choose to visit the Murle, and during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 4: Visit the Murle tribe (hiking and overnight camping required if you choose to visit the Murle, and during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 5: Hike back from the Murle tribe (hiking and overnight camping required if you choose to visit the Murle, and during dry conditions only), overnight in Mizan Teferi
Day 6: Visit the Me’en/Menit/Mekan (Tishena) tribe, overnight in Mizan Teferi
Day 7: Visit the Dizi tribe, overnight in Maji
Day 8: Visit the Kwegu/Koyugu/Nyidi/Yidi tribe (during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 9: Visit the Kwegu/Koyugu/Nyidi/Yidi tribe (during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 10: Visit the Suri (Chai/T’id, Tirma/Timaga and Baale/Kachipo) tribe (the Baale/Kachipo will be visited during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 11: Visit the Suri (Chai/T’id, Tirma/Timaga and Baale/Kachipo) tribe (the Baale/Kachipo will be visited during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 12: Visit the Suri (Chai/T’id, Tirma/Timaga and Baale/Kachipo) tribe (the Baale/Kachipo will be visited during dry conditions only), camp out overnight
Day 13: Leave Suri territory in the morning, overnight in Mizan Teferi
Day 14: Leave Mizan Teferi in the morning, overnight in Jimma
Day 15: Leave Jimma in the morning, drop off in Addis Ababa
(leaves everyday at 7:00 AM from Addis Ababa on day 1 and returns to Addis Ababa at 6:00 PM on day 15)
